Steps to Create HyperDuo from Controller BIOS

7. “HyperDuo: Safe” option is highlight. This is the default selection.
8. Hit enter, a pull down menu will appear with 4 options - ” Safe”, Capacity”, “RAID 0” and
“RAID 1”
Continue from step 8 to create “HyperDuo Safe Mode”
9. Select “Safe” mode from the pull down menu
**Note: Safe mode synchronizes SSD data to HDD for mirrored protection. As a result,
performance will be slower than Capacity mode.
10. Moving with down key, user can highlight “Keep Original Data: yes”. This option will keep
HDD original data.
** Note: If this option is selected, controller will do automatic background sync up from
HDD to SSD which could take from 30 minutes to couple hours. During this time,
performance to the Safe Mode HyperDuo disk will be degraded. Any performance
testing during background initialization running will not be optimized.
11. Select “Next”

Select “yes” and Safe Mode HyperDuo virtual disk is created.
Continue from step 8 to create “HyperDuo Capacity Mode”

**Note: Capacity mode augments SSD and HDD capacity without mirroring. The best
performance for HyperDuo is achieved via Capacity mode.

This manual is encoded in PDF file format

The PDF (Portable Document Format) was created in the early 1990’s as a brand new way for computer users to share documents between each other, especially if one person has a PC and the other a Mac. The shared PDF will display exactly the same on both computers.

PDF was created by Adobe and is no maintained by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO). It is a very interactive format and can contain buttons, links, audio, video, form fields, business logic and even electronic signatures. It can capture fonts, images as well as document texts and can also format documents from many different programs.

Most PDF viewers or the software used to view the PDF is provided free of charge. There are many options available including Scribus, pdfTex, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator as well as Google Docs. The most popular however is Acrobat Reader DC.

  • · A PDF file can be made incredibly secure as you can set up passwords, digital signatures and even watermarks.
  • · A PDF allows you input many different types of content including images, animations, 3D models, hyperlinks and buttons.

PDF’s do have their drawbacks such as:
